Toronto Mass Choir Youth Scholarship Fund

The TMC Youth Scholarship Fund provides financial support to students enrolled in post-secondary education who are actively engaged in improving their community.

For over 30 years, TMC has performed across Canada and around the world. Our Youth Scholarship Fund means so much to us because it is another way that we can give back to the community.

Purpose: To provide financial support to goal-oriented Christian youth enrolled in post-secondary education who are actively engaged in improving their community.

Award: $300-$500

Qualifications

  1. The applicant must be 17-25 years of age and a permanent resident of Canada or a Canadian citizen and must be a resident of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
  2. The applicant must be enrolled as a full time student to an accredited post- secondary institution in the province of Ontario.
  3. The applicant must include two reference letters from people who are not related to him/her. At least one letter must be from a pastor or a person in a position of spiritual leadership at the applicant's church. The other should be from a person who has extensive knowledge of the applicant's volunteer work and who can speak to the impact that the applicant has had on the community. Upon submission, each reference letter should have been issued within the past twelve months.
  4. Applicants are welcome to apply to the scholarship on a yearly basis, but may only receive the scholarship once.
  5. The use of the scholarship is not restricted to tuition and may be used towards course materials such as books or computer equipment.
  6. Applications are due on July 31, 2024 at 11:29 PM. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Notification to successfull applicants

Successful applicants will be informed by email on or before August 31st, 2024. To receive the scholarship, enrolled students must provide proof of registration by September 30th, 2024. Proof of enrollment submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. Scholarship recipients will receive an e-transfer upon confirmation of email address and enrolment. Scholarship winners are advised that the names of scholarship recipients will be published by the Toronto Mass Choir. Toronto Mass Choir will endeavour to communicate the status of non-winning applications by October 31, 2024.
