Oswald Burke
,

Born and raised in Jamaica, Oswald dreamt of becoming a reggae artist and producer. Shortly after migrating to Canada, Oswald made a radical change in direction and became a member at Oakwood Wesleyan Church in West Toronto. There he became actively involved in the youth choir under the direction of Brainerd Blyden Taylor. It was also there that he developed a love for Gospel music.

Since then, Oswald has been active as a producer, audio engineer, songwriter, musician, and entrepreneur. His musical experience and active involvement in Gospel music in Canada spans over 40 years.

Commencing in 1978, Oswald was a vocalist and songwriter with the Toronto-based recording Gospel group "The Revivalaires". He also co-founded and performed as a bassist/vocalist with the contemporary Gospel group "Sweet Sound", with whom he toured through much of the 1980s.

In 1988, Oswald and his wife Karen co-founded the Juno award-winning Toronto Mass Choir, an ensemble of forty-five plus singers and musicians who have distinguished themselves as one of Canada's most respected and enduring Gospel choirs.

Oswald is also the founder and president of Burke Music Inc. and Micah Communications Inc., music production, publishing, and management companies based in Brampton, Ontario.
